Bronagh Durkan, a wife and mother to three young children is the founder of Creative Fireflies Art Studio in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath. A qualified primary school teacher with over twenty years experience, Bronagh has pressed pause on her career to follow her passion of helping children, teens and adults get into a creative flow through process art.
With a background in education, a passion for art and an understanding of the importance of play based, creative learning in a child’s development, Bronagh plans and prepares engaging process art classes, workshops, camps, events and parties - all tailored to inspire curiosity and confidence.
Sustainability is one of Bronagh’s core values in her business so where possible she sources recycled and sustainable materials to incorporate in her sessions. This inspires children to re-use, recycle and ignites their imagination, fostering a lasting appreciation of creativity in the world around them!

At Creative Fireflies we specialise in process art. So, what is process art? It's all about the journey not the finished product. It's about exploring, wondering, thinking critically and expressing yourself freely. Process art honours individuality, creativity and the joy of making.
Books are at the heart of our studio. We have a cozy library space filled with beautiful children's books, where we draw inspiration, build language skills, and develop a growth mindset - all essential elements for creative expression.
Through our classes, workshops and events for children, teens and adults we nurture a love for curiosity, connection and growth through creativity.
Come and join us! We host weekly art classes, toddler art playgroups, seasonal camps/ workshops, events and birthday parties.
